The following are the new requirements for Imaging Project proposals, which have to be implemented in all applications.
PHRT has the objective to set up an inter-institutional Precision Medicine Imaging Hub to support medical imaging research in ETH Domain institutions.
The hub will be based on a network of research groups at EMPA, EPFL, ETHZ and PSI collaborating together and with hospitals to improve the acquisition, analysis and use of medical images.
Projects selected during the 7th PHRT Call, together with the four Pioneer Imaging Projects from the 4th PHRT Call, constitute the backbone of the Precision Medicine Imaging Hub to become operational in 2023.
The harmonization of data structures and standardization of protocols will be the first steps to strengthen this collaboration and ensure that fruitful collaborations are sustainable.
To ensure this harmonization and standardization, a specific requirement of hiring engineers (at least 0.5 FTE (50%) for each project), who will work together to fulfil this objective, has been added in the selection criteria for PM Imaging Projects.
