The retreat started at EPFL, where participants were welcomed by Prof. Bernd Wollscheid (Chairman, PHRT Executive Committee). Two renowned keynote speakers shared insights into recent advances in their respective fields of research:
The day continued with a visit to the EPFL Innovation Park and informal discussions over dinner in Geneva.
On the second day, participants explored two key research environments: CERN, a global leader in fundamental physics, and the Health 2030 Genome Center at Campus Biotech, an important institution in the field of genomic research.
A central focus of the retreat was the opportunity to connect with the PHRT PhD students and Postdocs – the next generation of translational researchers. Their engagement, curiosity, and fresh perspectives added greatly to the retreat and the overall sense of community.
We sincerely thank all speakers, participants, and partners for their valuable contributions and look forward to future opportunities for exchange within the PHRT network.
