Viviane J. Tschan receives EANM Marie-Curie Award

Viviane Tschan, PhD student in the Nuclide Chemistry group at the Center for Radiopharmaceutical Sciences (PSI), received this year’s Marie Curie Award for a new concept of radioligand therapy of prostate cancer.
Viviane J. Tschan receives the EANM Marie-Curie Award for her research.

PhD student Viviane J. Tschan, working on an iDOC PHRT grant since June 2018 at the Center for Radiopharmaceutical Sciences (Paul-Scherrer-Institut), received this year’s Marie Curie Award at the EANM 2021 Congress. Her research revolves around the development and application of novel radiopharmaceuticals that target the prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) for the treatment of prostate cancer. A central focus of her project is the investigation of novel radionuclides such as Terbium-161 that are characterized by the (co-)emission of Auger and conversion electrons suitable for the eradication of micrometastases or even single cancer cells.

PHRT congratulates Vivian, her supervisor Cristina Müller and the whole team of the Nuclide Chemistry Group for this extraordinary achievement!
